This circa 1965 31′ lapstrake auxiliary sloop had become somewhat of a leaker. Several years ago we removed the ballast keel and replaced the keel bolts. No amount of sealant application could stop the seams from leaking. The owner made the decision to save the boat by having us replace all of the mahogany planking from the waterline to the keel. All of her planking was riveted both to the frames and on the laps. We are happy to report that following this major repair she is as dry as could be.
